This is a Sampler. We acquired it in 1968. Its technique is embroidered. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Pepi Beda. It is dated 1812 and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk and its technique is satin, stem, knot, split, chain and laid stitches on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.


This is a Sampler. It is dated 1709 and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is linen, silk, metal-wrapped silk and its technique is embroidered in cross, rococo, half cross, eyelet, and satin stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer. It is credited Bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer.


This is a Sampler. It is dated 1832 and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk embroidery on linen and its technique is cross, satin, and back stitches on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe. It is credited Bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe.
